Gilled tubes (also known as finned tubes) are core components for heating or cooling liquids and gases in many industries. They are characterized by fins (or fins) on the inner or outer surface of the tube wall to increase heat exchange area and turbulent fluid flow, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency. Compared to ordinary tubes, finned tubes have a larger surface area, allowing for more compact designs.
Our gilded tube series is efficient, space-saving, and aesthetically pleasing, suitable for use in glass areas, low-profile walls, long-distance piping, or as decorative elements.
Our gilded tubes are available in a variety of diameters, lengths, and materials, and can be connected to form long tubes to meet the needs of almost all applications.
Gilled tubes are manufactured using specialized finned tube machines that continuously spiral steel strips into medium or heavy-duty steel tubes.
Gilled tubes are commonly found in equipment such as boilers, superheaters, economizers, and radiators. For example, spiral finned tubes can be used in economizers to enhance heat transfer and improve system thermal efficiency while reducing metal consumption, offering excellent technical and economic benefits. In high-temperature superheaters, the use of internally finned tube technology can effectively improve tube wall temperature distribution and reduce the risk of tube rupture due to prolonged overheating.
Depending on the specific application, gilded tubes can be further subdivided into several types:
Gilled tube radiator: A tube-finned or finned radiator used to enhance air-side heat transfer;
Gilled tube superheater: A finned tube superheater used in high-temperature steam systems such as power plant boilers;
Longitudinally gilded cylinder: A cylinder with longitudinal fins used in specific mechanical structures.
