What Is a High Frequency Welded Spiral Fin Tube?

High frequency welded spiral finned tube is to use the skin effect and proximity effect of high frequency current to heat the steel strip and the outer surface of the steel tube until the plastic state or melting, while the steel strip is wound around the steel tube. The welding is completed under a certain pressure when the steel strip is wound. This kind of high-frequency welding is a solid phase welding. It is more advanced in terms of product quality (high welding rate of fins, up to 98%), productivity and automation.

How Are High Frequency Welded Fin Tubes Manufactured?

HFW Finned Tube(High frequency welded solid finned tube) is a spiral winding of steel fins, which is continuously welded on the steel pipe by high frequency resistance welding (HF ERW). A high-frequency current is introduced into the workpiece, the welding contact surface is melted or semi-melted by resistance heat, and then appropriate pressure is applied to the welding contact surface to complete the welding of the finned tube. This produces a uniform, clean and continuous finned tube combined with no additional welding material for very efficient heat flow and corrosion resistance.
