Copper Embedded Finned Tubes is manufactured by mechanically pre-machining a spiral groove into the outer wall of the carbon steel base tube, then force-embedding the copper strip into the groove, and finally roll-securing it tightly to dramatically enhance heat transfer efficiency.
Base Tube: Carbon steel tube (such as Grade 20#, ASTM A179, ASTM A214, etc.), which bears internal pressure and handles fluid transport.
Fin Element: Red copper strip (or brass strip), which leverages copper’s high thermal conductivity to significantly expand the external heat transfer surface area and boost overall efficiency.

Grooving (Spiral Machining): A continuous spiral groove of fixed depth and width (typically about 0.2 mm–0.4 mm deep) is mechanically rolled into the outer surface of the carbon steel base tube.

What is the Difference Between Embedded Fin Tubes and Wound Fin Tubes?
Embedded fin tubes are pre-processed with embedded grooves on steel tubes, and then the fins are embedded in these grooves and fixed by welding or other means. The advantages are efficient heat exchange, compact structure, strong corrosion resistance and low pressure loss. The disadvantages are relatively complex manufacturing process and high production cost.
Wound fin tubes are made by winding fins on steel tubes. The advantages are simple manufacturing process, short production cycle and low cost. The disadvantages are short service life and low heat transfer efficiency.
