How an Fin Fan Cooler Works

Air-cooled heat exchangers dissipate heat using fans and condenser components through the following operating principles:

  1. Air Circulation: An internal fan draws in ambient air and pushes it through the interior of the unit.

  2. Heat Exchange: Process fluids or refrigerants (such as those in HVAC systems) flow through internal tube bundles. As ambient air passes over these tubes, heat exchange occurs between the air and the internal fluid.

  5. Cooling & Re-evaporation: As fluid returns through the heat exchanger’s internal tubes, it transfers its absorbed heat to the outside air, changing state back into vapor.

  6. Recirculation: The refrigerant continues its continuous cycle back to the equipment to maintain ongoing heat removal.
