SS (SS304, SS316, Duplex SS2205, Super Duplex SS32750)
Nickel Alloys (825, Inconel Alloy 625, High chrome high nickle incoloy alloy Monel 400) - Tube OD:15.88mm~273mm or customized
Serrated fin tubes are manufactured by first cutting teeth into the steel strip before high-frequency welding the fins. The serrated fin tubes are then welded to the steel tube using the high-temperature skin effect of the high-frequency current. This new, wear-resistant, and energy-efficient heat exchange material is a highly efficient heat exchange component. Fin tubes produced using this process offer strong weld strength and excellent heat transfer efficiency. Furthermore, the serrated fins enhance flow turbulence, improving heat transfer efficiency and preventing dust accumulation.
The materials of serrated fin tubes mainly include stainless steel, carbon steel, corrosion-resistant steel (ND steel), alloy steel, etc. The choice of different materials should be determined according to the specific usage scenario and needs. These materials have good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, and can meet the use requirements under different working conditions.
Serrated fin tubes, known for their efficient and stable heat exchange performance, are widely used in the chemical, petroleum, and pharmaceutical industries. They are primarily used for heat exchange with high-temperature, high-pressure, and highly corrosive media such as steam, hot water, cold water, refrigerants, solvents, and brine. Compared to conventional heat exchangers, serrated fin tubes offer advantages such as high heat transfer efficiency, low resistance, excellent impact resistance, light weight, and compact structure, making them highly popular with users.
Product Introduction
Serrated Fin Tube is with cut or serrated steel strip welded on base tube by high frequency welding technique. The cut fin strip with serrated fins is helically wound on edge around the outside surface of the tube and attached to the tube with a continuous fillet weld on one side of the fin. Comparing with solid welded fin tube, the serrated fin tube is with better heat transfer efficiency as the serrated fin is a kind of turbulators and also can prevent ash accumulation on fin.
The effectiveness of bond between tube and serrated fins is the most important features, thus with high efficiency under all conditions of temperature and pressure, ability to withstand high fin side temperatures.
If compared with solid fin tube, the serrated fin tube is better to withstand the fin fouling if there is a problem in application, gives better heat transfer properties.
Totally we have four production lines to produce high frequency fin tubes, two machines were imported from Korea and can produce fin tube maximum to OD219mm and 28000mm length.
The serrated fin tube can be in straight length or with ends welded to customized shape.
When an order of serrated fin tube finished, we will have macro graphic test on each fin tube to see welding rate and make sure all fin tubes are qualified before delivery.
Package
Tube ends straight cut or beveled, ends with plastic cap covered
Sea worthy package for transportation free from damage.
Characteristics
Large heat exchange area
Corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, low contact thermal resistance, high stability and anti ash ability.
Because of fast welding speed and strong self cooling effect of weld ments, not only the heat affected zone is small, but also oxidation is not easy to occur, so the micro structure and properties of the weld are very good.
Application
The high frequency welded solid fin tubes are widely usd in heat recovery of boiler, air preheaters and waste heat boilers, as well as heat exchangers in various fields.
HF Solid fin tube is widely applied in waste heat recovery of electric power, cement industry and petrochemical industry.
The high frequency welded spiral fin tube economizer is a newly type heat transfer equipment, consisting of spiral fin tubes to overcome the serious abrasion and short service time.

Serrated Finned Tube Appearance Dimension Inspection
Serrated Finned Tube appearance dimension inspection is one of the important links to ensure the quality and performance of fin tubes.
The inspection items mainly include fin height, fin spacing, fin thickness, base tube wall thickness and outer diameter, etc.
Datang Serrated Finned Tube Bending Processing
Bending of fin tubes is an important step in the production process of serrated fin tubes. Bending is to bend the serrated fin tube material through specific mechanical equipment to form a suitable curvature to meet different usage requirements.
This step requires strict control of the bending angle and curvature to ensure the fit between the fin and the base tube and the heat dissipation effect.
Serrated Finned Tube Pull Off Test
Serrated finned tube pull-off test is a test used to detect whether the fin tube will fall off when subjected to tension, mainly used to ensure the quality and reliability of the fin tube.
Datang’s this test is very important in the production process because the serrated finned tubes will be subjected to various stresses during operation, such as temperature changes and pipe expansion, which may cause the fin to fall off, thereby affecting the performance and safety of the heat exchanger .
