What is an Integrally Rolled Aluminum Finned Tube?
An integrally rolled aluminum finned tube is a heat exchange element with fins processed on the outer surface of an aluminum tube through a mechanical rolling process. It features high heat transfer efficiency and strong anti-fouling performance. Its core advantage lies in the integral structure formed by the base tube and fins, avoiding contact thermal resistance problems. Simultaneously, it significantly improves heat exchange performance by expanding the heat transfer area and strengthening the heat transfer mechanism.
Manufacturing Process
Manufactured using the three-roll oblique rolling method, the base tube and outer fins form an integral structure, avoiding contact thermal resistance problems.
Splitting-Extrusion Method: A composite processing method combining chip-free cutting and extrusion. A special tool splits the metal on the tube surface, and as the extrusion amount increases, the metal flows radially and axially, forming fins.
Three-Roll Oblique Rolling Method: A mandrel is inserted inside the smooth tube. The tube material moves in a spiral linear motion driven by the roller blades. The fins are gradually processed on the outer surface through the die formed by the roller grooves and the mandrel.
Enhanced Heat Transfer Principle
Finned tubes enhance heat transfer by increasing the heat transfer surface area and disrupting the boundary layer flow. They also utilize the thermal expansion and contraction effect to provide a self-cleaning function, resulting in superior anti-fouling performance compared to plain tubes. Their finning coefficient is 2-3, and efficient heat transfer is achieved by optimizing fin height, spacing, and thickness.
