Petroleum Cracking Studded Finned Tubes

Petroleum cracking studded finned tubes are critical components used to enhance heat transfer in catalytic cracking units of refineries. They significantly improve heat exchange efficiency through needle-shaped structures (studs) welded to the surface, and also possess self-cleaning capabilities, effectively reducing fouling problems.

I. Surface Manufacturing Requirements for Petroleum Cracking Studded Finned Tubes:

1. The base tube surface should not have defects such as pits, dents, folds, creases, or grooves exceeding 0.3 mm in depth. If there are defects exceeding the limit, grinding is permitted, but the wall thickness after grinding shall not be less than the specified minimum wall thickness.

2. The straightness of the base tube of the petroleum cracking studded finned tube shall not exceed 2.5 mm in any 3 m section, and the straightness of the total length shall not exceed 6 mm.

3. The base tube should preferably be a single, seamless steel pipe without splices. If splicing is necessary, written consent from the buyer must be obtained, and the welding form, location, and inspection requirements shall be confirmed by the buyer. The welding of the steel pipe shall comply with the provisions of SH 3085 or SH/T 3417.

II. Material Requirements for Petroleum Cracking Studded Finned Tubes:

1. When carbon structural steel is used for the studs of the petroleum cracking studded finned tubes, it shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 700; when high-quality carbon structural steel is used, it shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 699; when heat-resistant steel is used, it shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 1221; when stainless steel is used, it shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 1220. The shape and dimensions of hot-rolled steel bars of various materials shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 702; the shape and dimensions of cold-drawn steel bars shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 905.

2. The studs of the petroleum cracking studded finned tubes should preferably be cold-drawn from steel bars 2 mm larger than the design diameter.
